Aaron’s Acres is thankful for all its ongoing partnerships – one of these is Members 1st FCU. The employees at Members 1st FCU have supported our organization in numerous ways, and we want to take a moment to highlight all they do!
We look forward to welcoming employees and local community members throughout summer camp as volunteer photographers. Employees from Members 1st FCU have regularly signed up to experience Aaron’s Acres summer camp in this way and volunteer their time as photographers. Volunteer photographers take pictures of participants throughout the day, and these pictures are later used in individual memory books created by each child with the assistance of summer camp staff. This is a great way to volunteer and experience camp as a member of the community!
Throughout the years, Members 1st has also volunteered to run games for camp carnival day, donated Visa gift cards for staff recognition, “Sneakers Day”, and more in support of our programs and families!
Aaron’s Acres was honored to be selected as a recipient of Members 1st FCU’s 26th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 5, 2023. Aaron’s Acres, along with other non-profit organizations, was presented with a check for $30,000 at the conclusion of this event.
The funds raised from this event enable Members 1st to support Aaron’s Acres through our annual golf event and as a summer camp session sponsor. Most recently, they have been our $7,500 Diamond Sponsor and $3,000 Cart Sponsor. For the past few years, Members 1st has sponsored one 2-week session of camp every summer.
Years ago, George Nahodil, President & CEO at Members 1st FCU, sent his son to Aaron’s Acres Summer Camp in Dauphin County.
George shared the following about his experience with Aaron’s Acres:
“Summer camp was a highlight for Joshua and a blessing for our family. It made us feel understood, gave us a reprieve, and provided us with memories to last a lifetime. My relationship with Aaron’s Acres has come full circle as I am now able to directly support the organization through the Members 1st charity golf classic. My son is now 31 years old, and its gives me great pleasure to be able to give back to a program that gave so much to my son, Joshua, and our family.”
Our partnerships with local businesses, individuals and institutions allow us to continue providing unique and meaningful programming opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities in central PA.
We are grateful for our partnership with Members 1st FCU – an institution committed to its members and positively impacting the communities they serve.
