Join us for Understanding the IEP Process — a virtual seminar with Dr. Ellen Long from Millersville University’s Special Education Department.

This seminar’s goal is to better understand the IEP process and comprehend your role as your child’s advocate. All of this can be extremely overwhelming. Having basic knowledge of this process and knowing what you are able to request for your child can be good first steps as you navigate your child’s educational journey.  Aaron’s Acres is pleased to have Dr. Long as the presenter for this seminar.

Dr. Long is an Associate Professor at Millersville University in the Special Education Department and has been at MU for 20 years. She has advocated for individuals with disabilities her entire career, in many different capacities, including a classroom special education teacher, vocational rehabilitation counselor, and special education college professor. Her expertise is in the transition of youth with disabilities and writing Individualized Education Programs.

Aaron’s Acres is committed to hosting informational seminars for families with individuals of varying ability levels. Information and summaries from past seminars hosted by Aaron’s Acres here.
