As we look forward to summer camp this year, Aaron’s Acres is excited to offer face-to-face programming once again! Participants and families of Aaron’s Acres are ready to return and to see friends and familiar faces. This also means we need great staff, like YOU, to make it happen!
If you’re interested or need another reason to join the fun this summer, check out what current and previous staff members have to say about their experiences below:
“I absolutely love working for Aaron’s Acres. I was just telling [another staff member] that I wish I had more time in my day to work at camp this summer. I’m excited that there’s talk about having it in person! Camp has changed my life in so many ways and I’m so thankful for all the opportunities I was given. I miss working with you and the other staff, but most of all I miss working with the kids. There’s nothing better than being able to see the kids be kids, have fun, and be so purely happy.”
“Aaron’s Acres has helped me grow not only as a counselor but also as a person and student. I have typically been very shy and reserved for most of my life as I always found myself nervous to start conversations with others as well as share my ideas with people at work and in my classes. Fortunately, camp helped me break out of my bubble. I no longer feel overly anxious about taking leadership of a project or speaking to multiple people at once and I find it easier to hold conversations and get my points across. I can see this in my classes as I am participating more often, reaching out to peers to form study groups, and not being overly anxious before a presentation. I am very grateful to Aaron’s Acres for not only providing an amazing camp experience for both campers and counselors, but also for helping me to grow as a person and a student.”
“At the end of the day, Aaron’s Acres has a formula that is not only special, but also sticks out compared to other summer camps. Thank you for letting me be a part of the organization and teaching me so much more than I would learn in a classroom.”
