It’s hard to believe but the official start to fall is around the corner! As we head into this season, we begin to think about fall sporting events, the holidays and family get-togethers. We also consider this a season of giving! An exciting part of this time of year is the Lancaster County Community Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year — Extra Give! Aaron’s Acres is excited to be once again participating in the county’s largest single day of giving this November.
Here are some things you need to know!
- The official name of this event is now “Extra Give“! This event was initially called “The Extraordinary Give” because the Lancaster community is EXTRAordinary! As the years continued, the event received the nickname “Extra Give”.
- This year’s focus is on unique donors! In years past, the focus has been on dollars raised. You will find that this year’s leaderboard on the Extra Give website is based on the number of unique donors per organization. This year’s Stretch Pool will also be distributed based on the number of unique donors to each organization. A unique donor is intended to be defined as one individual.
- Extra Give 2022 is on Friday, November 18th — the week before Thanksgiving. Aaron’s Acres will be at various locations throughout the day. Stay tuned for more information about where you can find us on the 18th!
