As we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are constantly reminded that we are where we are today because of the ongoing supportive partnerships we have with so many within our community. Jersey Mikes has been most generous to Aaron’s Acres and is now adding a new store in Lebanon that will be one of the 5 stores that will support us during March Month of Giving and Day of Giving (which is the last Wednesday in March). The store opened on Wednesday, September 27, and Aaron’s Acres was the recipient for donations made that day!
The newest store is located at 2203 West Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. During its opening week, this location offered coupons for free regular subs when you made a minimum $3.00 donation to Aaron’s Acres. They also displayed Aaron’s Acres photos and brochures. We are so grateful to Jersey Mike’s for allowing us another place and opportunity to share about our organization!

Since 2011, Jersey Mikes has donated $88 million to local non-profit organizations across the country. Matt Patterson, Owner of these 5 stores, visited our camp program, along with Christina Montovino, Regional Vice President more than 5 years ago. They were able to observe our staff and campers in action and decided that our organization would be the recipient of their annual fundraiser. Everyone involved with Aaron’s Acres feels most fortunate in this relationship as the employees of Jersey Mikes raise awareness about the programs that we offer for children and young adults with disabilities, in addition to raising funds for us! This company is unique in that on their Day of Giving, they give 100% of their sales to the organization, not limited to just their proceeds. What an amazing commitment and culture Jersey Mikes has and what a positive impact they have throughout the country on its local communities.

In addition to Matt’s dedication to our organization, the staff with whom we interact at each store are committed to sharing our story with the customers. On Day of Giving, the lines are out the door and the wait might be a bit longer. Yet, when customers online are approached by some of the Aaron’s Acres team, they often say, they don’t mind the wait as they are extremely impressed with a company donating $100% of sales to a non-profit organization! It feels like it is a win-win for all!
