Spotlight: Fulton Bank

Aaron’s Acres has been most fortunate over the years in having so many wonderful relationships with individuals, businesses, other non-profit organizations, and service clubs in our community that support us as we continue to provide meaningful programs to children and young adults with disabilities. Without these ongoing relationships, we would not be where we are today.

One of these cherished relationships has been with Fulton Bank. Over the years, Fulton Bank has supported us by encouraging many of their employees to volunteer during our summer program and take pictures of our campers. These printed pictures are then used to create individualized memory books that our participants share with their families and enjoy tremendously throughout the year. We always love hearing when employees are doing this for a 2nd or 3rd year as they so enjoyed their time at camp! Approximately 75-80 employees from the bank have participated in this volunteer opportunity.

I thoroughly enjoyed my volunteering opportunity with Aaron’s Acres. It was very fulfilling to see young adults having fun bowling and interacting with others. You can see that the staff genuinely care about the children. I’m grateful for the experience and I hope to participate in other events in the future! – Maria

Seeing the campers enjoying their activities and capturing those moments on camera was truly rewarding. The smiles and excitement on their faces were a highlight of the day. It was clear that Aaron’s Acres creates a positive and supportive environment, and being part of that, even from behind the camera, was meaningful. – Ryan

In addition, our organization has received generous financial donations from Fulton Bank which help to fund our programs for our participants, in addition to sponsoring lunches to support our staff during the summer. Having this financial support means a great deal to everyone involved with Aaron’s Acres. Bringing the community into our programs breaks down barriers among people of diverse backgrounds and abilities. In addition, it allows for new connections to be made and relationships to be formed, all resulting in a stronger community for everyone.

Mark Katkovcin, Executive Vice President/Regional Consumer Executive for Fulton Bank, shares his thoughts on our ongoing relationship with them. “I personally was filled with joy the first time I visited camp.  Just looking at the smiling faces of the children you serve and watching the caring employees who make camp so special is something that got me to get our Fulton employees involved.  We have been able to not only provide financial support, which is well deserved, but more importantly volunteer support.  Each time we reach out for volunteers to help at Aaron’s Acres, we get flooded with folks looking to help.  The joy you and your team bring to these children and their families is also felt by our volunteers.  Our company vision is to “Change Lives for the Better”, and we believe Aaron’s Acres does this very well!  Keep doing what you do, and we will keep being there for you.”
