October Program Activity Idea: Spider Headband Craft

Are you looking for a fun and festive craft this spooky season? Here is a great seasonal activity with some fine motor practice for the fall.

Spider Headband Craft

Supplies:

  • Long strips of black construction paper
  • Elmer’s glue
  • Tape
  • Googly eyes

Directions:

  1. Cut strips of black construction paper to fit each child’s head.
  2. If the strips aren’t long enough, tape two pieces together.
  3. Cut thin strips of paper for each child to have eight.
  4. Fold each thin piece of paper back and forth like an accordion
  5. Ley out the headband piece
  6. Add dots of glue and attach the thinner pieces to it.
  7. Flip over the head band piece
  8. Attach a few googly eyes (we suggest about 6 to 8)
  9. Put the headband on and staple the ends together
