Aaron’s Acres Welcomes New Board Members!

Aaron’s Acres is excited to welcome new members to its Board of Directors! Over the past 6 months, we have welcomed George Wolf, Bob Simons, Mark Katkovcin, and Michael Lewis. Each brings unique expertise and a passion for our mission. We are grateful for their support and look forward to their continued contributions and commitment over the next few years.

GEORGE WOLF

George Wolf is a born-and-raised Lancastrian with passions for technology, business, social impact, and cooking. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with degrees in Cybersecurity & Risk Analysis and Philosophy, he gained valuable experience at Deloitte Consulting managing large IT and software development projects for several government offices. George’s passion for the culinary arts led him to work at Chef Tom Colicchio’s flagship restaurant in NYC as a Chef de Partie, cooking for celebrities and NYC food critics. With the pandemic’s impact on the hospitality industry, George returned home to Lancaster and co-founded Guidewise, an HR-focused AI-powered software company. In his free time, he enjoys reading, photography, videography, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and cooking. George is extremely grateful for the opportunity to join the Aaron’s Acres Board of Directors and is very excited to help the organization achieve its long-term objectives and mission to support children and young adults with disabilities.

ROBERT SIMONS

Robert Simons is a graduate of Drexel University with 43 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. He spent 23 years at RKL and was a Former Managing Partner of the Lancaster Office. Robert presently has ownership in two transportation businesses and does financial consulting. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Lancaster and assists with the Summer Initiatives program and Annual Wheels and Wings program. Robert previously served on the Board of Directors for the United Way, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, and Bent Creek Country Club. 

MARK KATKOVCIN

Mark Katkovcin is the current Executive Vice President / Regional Consumer Executive for the NJ, Del., MD, and VA Markets at Fulton Bank. He started his career with Fulton bank in July of 2012 after spending 16 years through several mergers and acquisitions at M&T Bank. Mark graduated in 1987 from Millersville University with a B.A. in economics. He grew up in the Lehigh Valley and attended Allentown Central Catholic HS. In 2017, he moved to Morgantown, PA with his wife of 35 years. Mark is the father of 2 daughters, and he has 3 grandchildren. Mark shares, “Giving back to the community is important to me with a particular focus on children and families in need.” He was a board member at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley for 10 years, until relocating out of the area. He enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible and vacationing at the beach.

MICHAEL LEWIS

Michael Lewis grew up in Lebanon County, graduating from Palmyra High School in 2015. He was recruited to play Division I Football as a quarterback for Lafeyette College in Easton, PA. Michael received his Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law in 2022. He has been with Appel, Yost & Zee LLP since June of 2023 as a member of their Education Law Group, focusing primarily on Sports Law, Title IX Disciplinary Proceedings, Employment Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolutions. In his free time, Michael loves to golf, run, watch sports, and spend time with family and friends.
