A Continued Partnership with Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania and this year’s Xtreme Spring Charity Auction & Gala benefiting Aaron’s Acres

Aaron’s Acres’ partnership with Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania spans more than a decade. In 2013, their business joined us for our annual golf event at Bent Creek Country Club. Members of their team have been supporting this event ever since. In addition, employees have had the opportunity to visit camp and witness our participants in action, which they’ve shared has made an incredible impact on their team.

This year, we were thrilled to partner with Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania in a new way! On Thursday, March 21, 2024, Aaron’s Acres was honored to be the chosen organization supported by Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania’s Annual Xtreme Spring Event.

The Annual Xtreme Spring event is a multiday event that includes live in-lane sales and a charity auction and gala. This event has been their largest sales event for 15 consecutive years. This year, the event hosted 7,000 dealers onsite and via Simulcast, who bid on 2,090 units. The event culminated in an evening charity gala that featured a live auction.

The Aaron’s Acres Administrative team and members from the Board attended the gala and charity auction in the evening and enjoyed the opportunity to talk with clients of Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania.

Aaron’s Acres was excited to get our participants involved in this event by having them help to paint the canvases that would be auctioned off during the charity auction part of the gala. We always enjoy the opportunity for our participants to give back, and the sales from these paintings were donated back to Aaron’s Acres in support of our mission and programs.

The Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania and its clients are grateful for the opportunity to support Aaron’s Acres during the annual Xtreme Spring Event, as a way of giving back to the Lancaster community. The auction lanes were adorned with a “roaring twenties” theme for guests to enjoy and feel as though they took a trip back in time to areas of a glam jazz lounge, Gatsby Garden, and speakeasy while dueling pianos filled the air with ambient tunes.

Xtreme Spring is a way to give back to our dealers and additionally, to raise money for a local charity in Manheim’s community in which Aaron’s Acres was spotlighted. This wonderful organization provides children and young adults with disabilities the possibility to learn, grow, and succeed despite any challenges. Both social and recreational programs are provided by Aaron’s Acres to embrace socialization and communication skills. Aaron’s Acres Executive Director, Risa Paskoff, gave a heartfelt speech explaining the importance of where the proceeds will be distributed and how much it will impact their organization. Items donated included several beautifully hand-painted canvases by Aaron’s Acres participants, which brought thousands of dollars per masterpiece, a Brad Marchand autographed Bruins jersey, a pair of Kentucky Derby tickets, and a 2023 Ford Bronco – all were auctioned off in which 100% of the proceeds were donated to Aaron’s Acres.

On behalf of Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania, we were so incredibly honored and humbled at the nearly $86,000 raised for Aaron’s Acres by the end of the evening. Our dealers opened their wallets in extremely generous ways, giving back to an amazing organization with so much potential to embrace further opportunities for life change in children and young adults with disabilities. Risa Paskoff wrote, “Thank you for creating an event that was successful in every way. Thank you for sharing our organization with so many people with whom you interact. We are most grateful for all of this!” Manheim Auto Auction of Pennsylvania looks forward to the continued partnership and friendship with Aaron’s Acres and their staff!
